"Before destruction the heart of a man is haughty, and before honor is humility.” (Proverbs 18:12)

Today, we are going to examine the word "humility" and how it relates to the practical and biblical principles for "Spiritual" growth. In essence, "humility" is the subjection of oneself from pride. Humility is further defined as the state or quality of being humble; Freedom from pride and arrogance; Lowliness of mind; A modest estimate of one’s own worth; A sense of one’s own unworthiness through imperfection and sinfulness; Self-abasement; Humbleness; Serving the Lord with all humility of mind; A disposition to be humble; A lack of false pride; A humble feeling; Amenability; Back seat; Commitment; Compliance; Consecration; Dedication; Devotion; Dovelikeness; Gentleness; Inferiority; Meekness; Minority; Nonresistance, Nonviolent resistance; Obedience; Passiveness; Peaceableness; Quietness; and Sacrifice.

In the business world, it is called "humility," the key characteristic of great and honorable leaders. It is the leadership quality, ability, and growth development process to build healthy cross-culture relationships for sustainability globally. The "humility" has a direct connection between "honor" from the inner reflection of the “heart” to build sustainable relationships, not comprising oneself identity or integrity. The "humility" genuineness approach decreases in self-gratification and increases in the willingness to change for the greater impact in society.

In the context of the scripture, King Solomon, “known as God’s Wisdom Leader,” left on record for all people and leadership the importance of knowing the virtue of humility and the consequence of pride. For instance, personally, I call this, "The-Harness-Of-Pride." It is the channel in the likeness of a water flow joining the two divides of pride and humility with a control mechanism to oneself to an even passage flow to make use of the two to produce honor and character. Thought to ponder: "The humility of a person reveals the magnitude of honor, character, and value.” It is an in-depth ability to know humility starts with the “State of Mind” but it is the “Spirit of the Heart” that releases levels of “true” honor and character. Therefore, unveiling the value of a person. This disposition has the spirit of life through adversity, to produce life. At this level, the genuineness of humility unveils truth in character on multiple levels.


What lessons can be learned about "Humility" and "Honor?" There are five (5) important lessons. Discovering the "Truth" in "Know," "What," and "How is the Humility?"


Lessons Learned About Humility and Honor

  1. Know true “humility” unveils the heart. It is the first step of self-awareness and self-denial, to produce, and transform life. Humility is the endowed transparency of a person inside-out, overtime. What magnitude of humility do people see? Is it good or bad? "How is the Humility?" Can I truly humble myself for the greater to transform my life and other people lives? Have I become a product of self-gratification and fear? (Humility Leadership and Humility Biblical Lessons)
  2. Know a person's "honor" is unveiled through the genuineness of “humility” revealing the intent of the heart overtime. Humility is the harness of honor, the refiner of purpose, the guide to just obedience, and the light of honesty. What code of honor do I have? Is it good or bad? “How is the Humility?” Can I fight for purpose at the same time decreasing in pride? Is there a “good” distinction about me opening the gateway of respect?   3. Know you have a choice to develop a good "character" of honor versus dishonor, in the process of change. It is through the process of change; character leadership is developed for the good or bad in society. What mark of validity is inscribed in the heart? “How is the Humility?” Does the molding of my character produce life or death? Is the magnitude of humility enough to save and change a life from just better to greater? How will I humble myself to hear God’s Wisdom in all sincerity to live in purpose?   4. Know the magnitude of humility transforms "value" in a person. However, the value of humility never diminishes the empowered ability of the person to change history. Therefore, it is through humility value is established, through perseverance character is developed, and through honor legacy is sustained. What value do I have? Is it good or bad? "How is the Humility?” Can I reach deep into my heart to pull out “true” value to produce life over death? Has my anchor of humility been divided through the process of change?  (Self-Evaluation and The Five Core Human Values)
  5. Truth is always revealed in the level of a person's humility with a transparency of honor or dishonor. Know “true” humility is only an agent of healing. The “heart” of a person unveils the magnitude of honor, character, and value. Know it will take more than mere words, it will take actions of humility overtime to release and transform honor. Know humility according to biblical principles, transforms lives with purpose. What change will I personally make to humble to God’s Will? "How is the Humility?" Humility cry out, change to live!  Humility cry out, produce life! Humility cry out, fight for purpose! (Stair-Steps of Transformation)


In closing, know true "humility" unfolds the depth of a person; Know humility unveils the intent of the heart; Know the magnitude of humility starts with the “State of Mind,” but it is the “Spirit of the Heart” that releases multiple levels of honor or dishonor. Know humility is the harness of “honor,” the refiner of purpose, the guide to just obedience, and the light of honesty. Know a person’s “character” is unveiled through humility. Know the transformation of a “value” comes through humility with the empowered ability to change history. Know you have a choice to live a life of humility or surrender to destruction from pride. Know you are not a product of the environment, you are not a product of life trails, and you are not a product of people. Remember, an environment of life is a progressive climate and culture of growth. Change your environment if needed. Change your view if needed. Change your humility if needed. Speak life, grow, and lead! "You Have Value!" "You Have Worth!" "You Have Purpose!" "How Is The Humility?"
